Non-Essential Elective In-Patient & Out-Patient Procedures

Dear Physicians,

We received notice yesterday from the New York State Department of Health that effective Thursday, December 23, 2021, we are required to defer all non-essential elective in-patient and out-patient procedures completed at our hospital.

We continue to investigate with the DOH their reasoning behind this decision since our hospital acute care capacity remains within their previously required limits.

Given the holiday weekend we expect that more information may not be available before the early part of next week.
