It gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Gurinder Kaur, MD to the position of Blue Team Hospitalist Medical Director.

Dr. Kaur has been a member of the St. Joseph’s Health family since 2014 and completed her Family Medicine Residency in 2017. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Ross University of Medicine and her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Biological Sciences with a Chemistry minor from State University of New York at Albany. Most recently, Dr. Kaur has been at our affiliate Rome Health as the Hospitalist Medical Director. We are excited to welcome her back to Syracuse.

In her new role, Dr. Kaur will be responsible for the efficiency, growth, and overall quality of care of the Blue Team Hospitalists while collaborating with the many departments and clinical units on patient progression and the facilitation of safe patient care. She will also work with administration on strategic initiatives including short, mid, and long-range planning and coordination.

Dr. Kaur will begin her transition back to St. Joseph’s Health in July while concluding her responsibilities in Rome. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Kaur in her new role.
