The Utilization Committee is requesting the medical staff to review these guidelines on antibiotic administration in colitis. Our goal is to reduce IV antibiotic prescribing when appropriate and safe. Multiple providers have had input developing the recommendations to standardize the care in the hopes of reducing antibiotic administration for simple colitis. Results will be shared in coming months.
